Get Away Weekend
Hubs has taken control and planned our anniversary weekend. I can't believe that we are celebrating 1 year of marriage this weekend!!!! One thing that Hubs has planned for me is to go get a massage! I cannot tell you how excited I am to go get pampered!!!
Yesterday I called the spa to make an appointment for this Saturday. Amazingly the spa was able to make it happen. Shamefully, I did pull the "It's my 1 year anniversary" card when they first told me that the spa was completely booked up. After those magic little words came out of my mouth the girl told me that she would see what she could do after she congratulated me. When she came back on the phone she informed me that I would have a 10am appointment on Saturday. SCORE!!!!
Fast forward to this morning. I receive a call from the corporate headquarters of the spa. They quickly inform me that they have canceled my spa appointment.
She informed me that as of this morning the spa was closing its doors and that they had filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. They were calling anyone who had a future appointment to inform them of this matter.
Soooooooo.....luckily the hotel that the spa is located in has been fabulous to work with. I called the concierge desk and she was able to set me up with a new appointment for Saturday at a spa located one block from the hotel. I even received a call from the manager of the hotel apologizing for the inconvenience! So far the hotel is getting two thumbs up for service from me and we haven't even checked in yet!
So my lovely blogger friends, I am off to spend the weekend celebrating my 1 year anniversary with Hubs! I am so excited to just relax and spend time with Hubs! Have a marvelous weekend! :-)

I can't believe the spa claimed bankruptcy and that was that?! But thank goodness for an amazing hotel helping you out :) Enjoy your pampering and have a wonderful weekend!!! xo
