Weekend Recap
Thanks everyone for the happy anniversary wishes! Hubs and I had a WONDERFUL time! Hubs was in charge of planning the weekend and he did a perfect job planning a fun-filled weekend that also allowed for some relaxation.

{WARNING} - Picture overload
Hubs picked out the perfect gift for me! Something that I have always wanted-
Pardon the picture quality, took this picture with my phone
A DSLR!!!! And not just any old DSLR......the Nikon D90. This baby has all the bells and whistles. I think it is going to take me at least a year just to figure it all out. Right now I can take some pretty mean pictures on the "auto" setting but eventually I want to be able to fully maximize the use of this camera. The picture quality is RIDICULOUS! I love this camera and took it EVERYWHERE with me over the weekend.
Hubs was pretty impressed by his gift-
Just look at the excitement on his face
Getting a closer look
Hubs is the lucky new owner of a 200-2007 Manchester United Jersey signed by the 2006-2007 team (stating that Manchester United is his favo. This gift definitely took some searching and a lot of research on the web to find but the look on his face was so worth every minute! For the FIRST time since we started dating I was able to 100% surprise him with a gift. Normally he at least has an idea of what he is getting but this time he had no clue. He even told me that he would have never guessed in a hundred years! Not to brag, but I am definitely patting myself on the back on this one!

Friday night Hubs took me to St. Elmo's for dinner and then we hit up Tastings Wine Bar in the Conrad.
This is one of the places we took pictures at on the day of our wedding

The next day we woke up early and ordered room service for breakfast. Holy expensive breakfast batman! Our order consisted of: belgian waffles, eggs benedict, a side of bacon, and two orange juices which came to a grand total of $86. YIKES!!!! Don't get me wrong, the breakfast was great but not $86 great. But you can be sure we ate every bite of that expensive breakfast. lol
Shortly after breakfast I headed out for my massage. One word: Glorious! Okay, one more word: Relaxing!
After my massage I headed back to the Conrad to get showered up and ready for the rest of the day. Hubs and I headed over to Chatham Tap to watch some soccer.
After watching the game we went next door
The Flying Cupcake
Red Velvet Cupcake, Ebony and Ivory Cupcake
SOOOOOO YUMMY!!!!!
After our snack we started walking in hopes of finding a cab. No dice. We ended up walking until Hubs announced that he needed to find a place to use the facilities. Conveniently enough, this is where we made a pit stop:
Hubs would kill me if he knew that I posted this picture. I think the only reason he agreed to even take the picture was to shut me up so he could run inside to use the facilities.
Now it would have just been plain rude to use the facilities without purchasing anything and since we had already walked 3 blocks forever we were quite thirsty.
Hello beautiful!

Saturday night Hubs took me to Oceanaire to continue celebrating our 1 year anniversary. Oceanaire is where Hubs took me on our first date and where we ate the night he proposed. So the restaurant definitely holds some meaning to us. I was in 7th heaven when I saw that they had steamed crab legs on the menu! YUM!
Our waiter wasn't exactly stellar with a camera. When I handed him my camera he looked at me like I had just handed him some foreign object. Oh well
Overall the weekend was PERFECT!!!! I think Hubs was so sick of me constantly lugging my camera around and making him stop to take pictures by the end of the weekend. Actually, I think he started to get embarrassed. He told me I looked like a tourist or the paparazzi. But one thing is for sure, he can never yell at me for not using that camera! :-) I had over 100 pictures from the weekend and probably would have had more if Hubs hadn't rolled his eyes every time I pulled my camera out of my purse. Ha!
I have to say that Hubs planned the perfect weekend! It was a nice, close getaway for us. We relaxed and had a lot of fun.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Have a great day! :-)
