The Dress(es), Part II

Rich's mom, my mom, my two Bridesmaids (Paloma and Adrienne), and I all went to Brides by Demetrio's on Sunday. I tried on dress number one (more form fitting/A-line) and when I walked out I received a lot of compliments on the dress. So, I went back into the dressing room and tried on dress number two (definitely a princess gown with a long train), when I walked out I heard everyone gasp and a chorus of "ooh's" and "awe's." I knew right then that the second dress was THE DRESS! I was so thrilled!!! I also picked out my veil (cathedral with satin trim) which looks AWESOME with the long train of my dress........soooo excited!!!

Since two of my Bridesmaids were there I had them try on the potential Bridesmaid dress to get their opinions. They loved them!!!! They loved the color and the style of the dress. So, I can check Bridesmaid dresses off of my list. Below is a picture of the Bridesmaid dresses, but the colors are reversed in the picture below (I love Bill Levkoff).

Lastly, I was able to find the Flower Girl dress for my niece, Rylie (she will be 5 1/2 when we get married). She is so tall and slender that this dress will look ADORABLE on her!
I am at a loss of words! I cannot believe how smoothly everything went. I have my wedding dress, veil, Bridesmaid dresses, and Flower Girl dress! I had always imagined that it would be an agonizing process trying to find the perfect dress. My wedding consultant at Demetrio's, Michelle, was AWESOME and made the process so easy. I couldn't believe that Rich's parents came down so that his mom could help me pick out my dress, that was SOOO SWEET!!!! My friends were more than happy to take time out of their Sunday and come along to help out. And of course, my mom always is willing to put everything down to come help me out! I couldn't ask for better friends and family!!!!

omg how lucky of a bride are you to have knocked it all out within a weekend!!?!?! i am jealous!! your wedding will be here before you know it! love the BM dresses! so classy. p.s. i voted "indifferent" on your poll because i like it if the MOH dress is a little different than the BM's dresses....but Im not sure how the reversed colors would look in pictures and such (i'd have to see it first!) but it would definently make her stand out and feel special! :) i just gave debbie a larger bouquet. :)

I'm so happy for you!! It's so exciting to finally find THE dress...I got a little teary eyed when I read your post...nothing more exciting/emotional than finding the first dress you will wear as a married woman. :)
I LOVE the girls' dresses, so elegant and classic. Everything is going to be beautiful! And the flower girl dress, too precious!

Congrats!!! That is really great. I am impressed that you involved your future mother in law so much! I definitely did not have mine present when making the dress decision! Actually, I've yet to show her a picture, I just showed her a swatch - lol.

Hey you, I love your blog! I didn't even know about it! I got my dress at Demetrios too, so exciting! I will warn you, that you should tell them your date is like at least a month before it really is. they originally told me my dress would be here in December, then I got January and now they are telling me February. Also, I love the MOH wearing a different color. here's a link to one of my favorite weddings, and they do different colors! (I was introduced to this one from Jessica Lyn!) http://meganwblog.com/ross-makenzie/

Thanks for the comment on my blog! I love yours! Congrats on the wedding and on getting so much accomplished in one weekend -- you are quite the lucky bride, that's for sure!

And, I love the idea of the maid of honor having a special dress, that is, if you think it would look alright. It's one easy way to really make her feel special and, personally, I think adds some interest to the "matching" aspect of the BM dresses. I'll look forward to seeing what you decide!
