Color Scheme

With a new year comes lots to do! My florist (David) told me that after the new year we would get together and get down and dirty creating the centerpieces for my wedding. Well, it is 2009 and I need to really think about what my vision is for our reception centerpieces.

Our reception is in the grand ballroom at the Scottish Rite Cathedral. The ballroom has a gold tone to the room that makes it feel very royal/elegant. My wedding colors are taupe and champagne and I have decided that I want to add another accent color to the color scheme for the centerpieces.

Green- with the room having a gold hue I think that green would really pop! All accents will stick to our main wedding colors (taupe and champagne) but I really want the centerpieces to be tall, lush, and green. Here are some pictures that I found of green centerpieces-

I LOVE the idea of having a wine or champagne bottle as the table number!!! Must remember this for my wedding!

Ooh, I LOVE Scottish Rite! If my wedding was a bit bigger, that would have been my top pick for a reception site! It's so glamorous and regal :)
