Hair Love

Here is my hair inspiration for my first hair trial on July 17th (see prior post):

By having an August wedding I want my hair all up. I want my hair to be curled and loosely pulled back, like the pictures above. For the wedding ceremony I will only have a cathedral length veil in my hair. After the wedding I will obviously be ditching the veil but I want to do something fun yet elegant. My wedding dress is princess ball gown style so I want it to match the elegance of my dress.

So ladies, I ask you for help! Here are two ideas I have come up with:

Meet Vintage Rhinestone Hair Comb by Romancing TheBling (on Etsy)
This piece is elegance personified! I probably would not purchase this exact piece ($165 price tag....ouch) but I would try to find something similar!

And now I would like to introduce you to Victoria by LoBoheme (on Etsy)
Hello fun and elegance!!!! I love the vintage feather pieces! My only concern is- am I going to look back on this in 20 years and wonder what the hell I was thinking? Are my kids going to laugh at my at my choice even though it was fashionable when I did it?!?

What are your thoughts?!? I have set up a poll to the right so please vote or leave me a post letting me know your thoughts! What are you doing/did for your wedding?!? Are you sporting a piece other than your veil?

Oooh I like both of them! I am actually looking for a hair piece as well, after the veil comes out I want to have something to put in my hair for the reception. Also, I think you would be ok with the feather piece. Yes you may look back on it and wonder what you were thinking, but I would bet we do that with several things...haha. You only do this once so just be sure you are happy with what you pick!

I really like them both but I would choose the rhinestone. I love the classic look of it.

I like them both alot but I'm leaning towards the rhinestone style with your dress.

I took in the 2nd picture as my inspiration (the one from the Knot) and didn't get anything close to that, but I loved what I ended up with! So good luck!

They are both beautiful! If you're worried about 20 yrs from now then you could always go w/ a flower like the one in the picture. Those are timeless.
I also like them both - they are equally beautiful!! I think I want to wear a flower in my hair, but who knows. I don't even know what kind of style I want!
oh i like your hair inspiration..mine was kinda done like that! we used flowers in my hair.

hmm.. I voted on the feather piece before I scrolled down to the pix..I think the rhinstone thing looks super classy. & you've got me thinking about the feather thing looking silly in 20 years.. that would suck... I might rethink my headpiece now..

So hard to decide - I love love the hair pin. It's absolutely gorgeous (why do us girls always pick the most expensive pieces!? lol) But the feather piece w/ the netting is super chic. You could always get both at a cheapy store like Claire's (even if not the exact piece you want) for just your hair trial. See what you like best in general, return the cheap ones you bought if you don't love the one you want to go with and then find one on Etsy or somewhere else.
