Hair Styles, Part I

I need your help ladies! I am trying to figure out how I want to wear my hair for our wedding. I am in between a half-up do or an all-up do. Here are some added details that I am taking into consideration while trying to determine whether I want it all up or not:

1. I have fine hair with a little bit of wave
2. We are getting married in August (hot and humid)
3. I want hassle-free (who doesn't?!?)
4. My hair is past my shoulder blades with layers
5. My hair tends to hold curls pretty well

Examples:

Note: These are not necessarily the hair styles I will go with but are just some of the examples of ones that I like.

So, what do you think I should do? Feel free to vote on the poll to the right or leave a comment because I am always happy to hear from you!

What hair style are you going to be sporting for your wedding?!?

i'm going all up just for the convenience..i originally wanted down until i went to a few summer weddings where heat made hair a sweaty mess, but i do love both styles!

So I vote for all up, but...and don't hit me when I say this...did you see Heidi's hair this weekend? I thought it was really pretty too :)

According to the weather I think all up would be more comfortable.

As I do have shorter hair I'd like to have a half up do.

Have an appointment with your hair stylist and try out both options and what you like best...

OOO I'm deciding on the same half up or all up. If I were doing a summer wedding I'd probably do an updo because of the frizziness factor.

I voted all up... it's definitely hassle-free!
I voted for the "all up" look. I think it looks polished and beautiful! Good luck with your decision making. I was in the same boat as you!

I went half up for my wedding.

I love the ideas you posted with the half up/half down dos!
However, I always feel bad for my summer bride friends because, by the end of the night of heat and dancing, their "down" hair is a sweaty mess. So, when my best friend got married, she wore half up/half down for the ceremony and all the formal pictures.
Then, we hauled off to the ladies' room with a bunch of bobby pins and I just swirled the "down" curls into a pretty little bun, squirted some hairspray and *bam*: instant updo! She got the best of both worlds and seriously loved it.
Got any hair-saavy friends? Just a thought!
I like both. But getting married in august I would say: All up.
I just saw your comment on Learning to Be a Wife's blog and about your favorite movies and I just had to check out your blog because I have never met anyone who love What A Girl Wants and I love that movie!

I'll be back to check out your blog some more!

P.S. I am partial to the half-up option only cause that's what I'm doing for our wedding in June but the picture of all up looks so pretty too! It's such a hard decision, I'm still not 100% sure on my choice :) haha

I debated on half-up for about half a second... then I remembered we're getting married in July, and I didn't want my hair to stick to my back. My vote is for all up!

I really like the first picture! Up-dos seem the most hassle free imo.

I love that first one - that's almost the same style I'm going for.
