Wedding Shoes

Okay, I know most of you are thinking, "When is this girl going to shut up?!?" Believe it or not, I have a lot to say today!!!

I have been looking for taupe colored shoes for my wedding (bridesmaids hopefully will have champagne colored shoes) and have had very little luck. Let's face it- colorful bridal shoes are definitely the rage and just add more picture opportunities. Rich has no idea why girls want shoe shots.....my photographer and I tried to explain the reasoning.....he has a lot to learn.

I mean, what is not to love about these shoe shots?!

I am beginning to think that I am going to have to go down the dyeable route. Has anyone ventured into the world of dyeable shoes?!? Please share your experience in case I need to venture away in dyeable shoe land!

For the time being here are some pictures of shoes I found that I like. Let me know what you think!

Kate Spade

Benjamin Adams - Scarlet

Joyce

And now......the love and lust of my life!

Christian Louboutin

While I can only imagine that it would be heavenly to slip my feet into a GORGEOUS pair of Louboutin's the morning of my wedding I can not for the life of my rationalize spending $860 (*gasp*) on a pair of shoes. But hey, a girl can dream!!!! Well, I am off to dream of Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik shoes, feel free to snap me out of dream land and back to reality!!!

Jess-

Do you want to help me try to convince my mom that I have to have these $860 Louboutin shoes for my wedding? I have a funny feeling that she is not going to quite understand my desire for the perfect shoes. Haha!

These are gorgeous....oh I do love good shoe shots!

If you want taupe however you are probably going to have to go the dye route. I was in a wedding last year and we had the same issue, and ours turning out great. I admit I was more than a little skeptical about having them dyed, but you really can't tell. Let me know if you want to see pics!

it took awhile to get Landon on board with the shoe shots, but he has blogged about them as gifst (http://255andcounting.blogspot.com/2008/10/groomsmen-gifts-help.html)...so maybe he gets it?

I think dyeing may be the only way to get a taupe shoe that isn't grandmotherly or $860! I love that you are going with that color. It's so elegant! I looove those Kate Spade's

I'm having the same dilemma! I can tell you that Saks and Bergdorf Goodman (www.bergdorfgoodman.com) have lots of wedding-worthy shoes on sale! I'm getting married in Indy next June and am on a mission to find gorgeous shoes too :) (PS found your blog through Jessica's blog - congrats and am adding you to my google reader!)

Dyeable shoes are great, but I would suggest having them completed at least 2 months before the wedding. I have always had good luck with them, but when I went to pick them up for my wedding it looked like they hadn't been dyed at all. Luckily I had enough time and they could redo them! In the end they turned out perfectly!
